Sydney International Piano Competition 2023: Preliminaries & Semi Finals

The Sydney International Piano Competition (The Sydney) is thrilled to announce the return of the world-renowned competition from 5^th to 22^nd July, with 32 of the finest young pianists from around the globe travelling to Sydney in July to compete for top honours.

The competition will consist of three stages, with the preliminaries and semi-finals taking place at Verbrugghen Hall at Sydney Conservatorium of Music from 6^th to 15^th July, culminating in the Finals on one of the world’s finest stages, the Sydney Opera House Concert Hall from 18^th to 22^nd July.

A Gala Opening Night concert given by the judges will also take place at Verbrugghen Hall on Wednesday 5^th July.

All sessions of the competition are open to audiences.
