Jameson March Madness

After debuting the Jameson’s House of Rounds Green Dome across Laneway Festival last month, Jameson Irish Whiskey today announces Jameson March Madness, a Jameson House of Rounds international tour celebrating live music and Irish Whiskey heading to major cities across Australia and New Zealand throughout the months of March and April. Exploding into Autumn with a flurry of incredible local live acts in our most loved venues, catch The Terrys, Johnny Hunter, Emilee South, Velvet Trip and more as Jameson rip through major cities Sydney, Perth, Melbourne, Brisbane, Auckland and more, for a non-stop March (and April) party.

Keeping the drinks pouring all month long with an endless selection of mouth-watering Whiskey specials throughout the series, celebrate your city, Irish Whiskey and your favourite local artists at this not-to-be-missed March jamboree.

Starting with Jameson’s St. Patrick’s Day afterparty this Friday March 17 in the heart of Sydney’s CBD at Ramblin’ Rascal Tavern, Sydney-based Velvet Trip will be injecting their modern psych-rock meets blues boiling pot to a seasoned crowd for an acid fuelled fiasco. Featuring free-entry, a mouth-watering Jameson Orange Whiskey Highball and tonnes of Jameson drinks specials like their Black Barrel Espresso Martini, there’s no better place for Sydneysiders to celebrate all things Irish this St. Patrick’s Day.

Venturing north of the border into the bright-lights of the Queensland capital, Jameson march on with their national tour dropping by Brisbane’s Brooklyn Standard from Friday 17 – Saturday 18 March. In a merging of two worlds, the Whiskey distillers are bringing along mates West Texas Crude to expel their traverse-folk country rock across Brooklyn Standard’s New York themed basement. Rounding off the entertainment for the weekend, punters can enjoy the new Jameson Orange Julep, Spritz or a round of Jamo Dry & Lime to the heavy delivery of South East Queensland four piece Ramjet.

Providing non-stop live-music throughout the city of Melbourne, the Irish Whiskey makers are taking over Lulie’s Tavern every Friday throughout March with a wealth of local talent. On Friday March 17, punters can expect a rowdy night of flowing tunes and whiskey from Mightiest of Guns, Kino Motel and James Hooker, before Emilee South and Flocks enchant crowds the following week on Friday March 24. On the final Friday of the month, music-lovers can prepare for a leg-shaking blitz when local artist Andrew Warhurst launches his debut album to live audiences, unleashing a flurry of blues-infused licks with the unrelenting energy of raw, classic rock. Putting a new twist on a classic, Jameson Orange Old Fashioned will also be pouring all month long, with more drinks specials alongside as well as local legend DJ Pistol Pete Whelan spinning decks every week.

Jumping down to South Australia after electric Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane legs, Jameson will be pouring Spicy Picklebacks, Jameson Orange, Black Barrell Sours and more at Adelaide’s Cry Baby on Thursday, March 23. Flooding the local establishment with their genre-bending psychedelia, Peach Fur will ooze their unmatched energy across the stage. Also on the billing, are the charismatic brit-pop locals COLTER, who have quickly become fan-favourites within the local scene with their summery tunes of their debut EP Life of the Party.

Jameson will then touch down in Byron Bay’s The Northern on Saturday, April 1. Proudly supporting local communities and artists, Johnny Hunter headlines, bringing their fast tempo 80s flavour after a flurry of local talent warm up yearning crowds. Next up, the Irish Whiskey maker will be joining forces with Matt Corby’s Rainbow Valley Records when they head to the coastal plains of Byron Bay’s The Rails, for the Local’s Festival on Wednesday, April 5. A hallmark of Byron Bay’s live music culture, Jameson will be passing the mic to emerging artists, with a roster of talented local DJs warming up the stage. Rainbow Valley Records signee Bud Rokesky is next to take charge, before Gerringong-based trailblazers, The Terrys, cast the soothing exuberance of their surf-rock heaters throughout the evening. Also available on-ground across both Byron Bay shows will be Jameson’s Orange spritzes as well as their latest Jamo, Orange and Lime RTD offering. So if the boss doesn’t let you off early to get down to this, then is it really worth going back?

For party-goers keen to get every last drop of Jamo’s March tour, watch Jameson’s social channels to catch live announcements of who they’ll be bringing along when they head to the Western reaches of sun-kissed Perth at the reincarnated Lynott’s Lounge every week from Thursday March 23 – Thursday April 13, and Wollongong’s Howlin Wolf for a weekend takeover from Friday 17 – Sunday 19 March.
