Your Guide To What's On – Things To Do In Sydney, Australia

Jameson House of Rounds

Coming back for an explosive round three, today Jameson announces its return to Marrickville’s The Vic On The Park with Jameson House of Rounds. A two-day, music-fuelled weekender at the end of August, Jameson House of Rounds continues to celebrate the very best local live music, food, Irish Whiskey and community spirit. Experience live sets from SKEGSS, Wafia, Romero and more as the iconic venue comes alive to the taste and sound of whiskey amongst mates.

Joining the whiskey and live music offering on Friday, August 26 and headlining the first night is Netherlands-born, Sydney-based singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, Wafia. The certified gold-selling artist has been delivering sweetly nourishing sounds since 2014, most recently on her latest single, “In The Honey”. As Wafia’s sweet tones enter back in the fold, fans can expect a wave of bliss when she gears up to make her House of Rounds debut.

To kick things off on Friday, Melbourne-based gender fluid rapper SOPHIYA will be bringing her Hip Hop flavour to House of Rounds. With new single “KWEEN ENERGY” and collabs with the likes of YNG Martyr and JessB, SOPHIYA is sure to bring the heat.

Jameson House of Rounds is stoked to welcome to the stage Indie Rock four-piece Coconut Cream on Saturday, August 27. Guaranteed to set the tone for the evening, expect the volume to rise and the dance floor to fill up with the sounds of their body-moving tracks from their debut EP What Kind of Music Do You Like to Listen to? Next up, gather your mates to catch the four-piece alt rock band, Molly Rocket. Hailing from Adelaide, the self-branded “chaotic indie” rockers will be bringing some 90s nostalgia to The Vic On The Park crowd, the perfect accompaniment to Jameson.

Joining the packed lineup is the hard-hitting, punk laced power-pop group, Romero, who’ll warm up the mic before surf-garage rock superstars, SKEGSS, hit the stage. In the six years since breaking into the scene, SKEGSS have become seasoned veterans, elating crowds and delivering sold-out performances both across the nation and internationally. Celebrating the release of their number one album Rehearsal, SKEGSS are en-route to flood The Vic with their electrifyingly good vibes, all night long.

Synonymous with casting a spotlight onto the nation’s most spellbinding emerging talents, Jameson House of Rounds is also hosting the ultimate winter experience. Jameson invites you and your mates to head to the Gather Round Bar for some Jamo goodies including its NEW Jameson, Soda, Ginger & Lime can and whiskey tasting sessions across both days for punters to immerse themselves in the world of the spirit. Also on the menu will be their delicious Jameson Dry & Lime, Jameson & Fresh Apple, Jameson Boilermaker and Jameson Pickleback. For those who are seeking a little winter warmer, Jameson are offering their delectable Black Barrell Hot Toddy Bar for the perfect heart-warming treat to accompany the music lineup, best enjoyed outside at the Jameson Gather Round fire-pit barrels. Jameson has teamed up with Merivale to take over the kitchen and serve some of their best-selling food from their restaurant roster.

Jameson is also introducing a Bucket 4 A Bucket, for every bucket of 4x Jameson cans purchased, punters will score a limited-edition Thrills x Jamo bucket hat. For those who fancy shooting some hoops, Jameson’s exclusive basketballs will be onsite in the venue’s carpark throughout the two days for some on-court fun.

Jameson’s and The Vic on the Park’s commitment to community spirit will continue throughout the winter series, working again with Addi Road and donating $1 throwback from every Jameson drink purchased.

Bringing together culture, communities and great music, gather round for the ultimate winter weekender this August. Get in early on Saturday, as the first 100 to arrive will receive a free can of the NEW Jameson, Soda, Ginger and Lime.
